Reno Progress at New PC Headquarters

We're thrilled to share that the renovations are coming along at our newly acquired downtown Clearwater property. This site will function as our operational Headquarters, and DevOps/Admin office space - acquired in late 2023. Over the past 60 days, our team has been hard at work revitalizing the site, with a goal of completing the restoration by the end of Q1 2024. Take your first look at the first of before-and-after photos:

With a focus on preserving the building's footprint, while adding modern touches, we're excited to give you an insider's look at the transformation. Weekly progress updates with updated photos, will be shared on our social media platforms. Stay tuned as we breathe new life into this space.

Week 1 - Outdoor Land Grubbing & Clearing. A huge amount of overgrown shrubbery and trees were overtaking the property perimeter, damaging the fence, and providing barriers to utilizing space on the grounds. We cleared 5 large trees, 30 yards of hedges, deteriorating rear ramp, temporary carport covers, old damaged fencing, and everything else we could find and destroy! Also, received 20ft shipping container for storage.

Week 2 - Parking Lot Asphalt & Striping! The existing parking lot was aging, cracking, and #faded. So, we ordered 60,000 pounds (yes, 30 tons) of blacktop, to overlay all existing concrete - 1 inch thick. Added parking stripes and made room for storage container. Might have hidden some coin treasures under the pavement for future discoveryโ€ฆ

Week 3 - Perimeter Fencing & Rear Entry Ramp. Border fences define property lines, and create privacy. About 1/3 of our fence was relatively new, but more than half was damaged or needed prompt replacement. We ordered (8) new panels for the front side and back center (entrance lane), and then cleverly sourced 20 sets of used panels; for less than the cost of 3 additional sets new. Rear entrance ramp was constructed in just 2 days!

Week 4 - Demo Interior & Scrap Ceiling. Over 90 years of bones to get to, with lots of โ€œcover upsโ€ to unfurl. Weโ€™re leaving no stone unturned, and are starting from a clean slate. Removal of ALL fixtures, framing, flooring, doors, ceiling texture, and surfaces - GONE. Why polish 93 years when you can be reborn from the ashes of decimation. Prepare for utter Destruction:

Week 5 - Conjure Storage & Sky Lighting. The building is great at its core, but there are some opportunities to unlock and make it even better. The majority of offices and rooms have vaulted ceilings, but two rooms have a drop ceiling to contain HVAC ductwork. We rerouted intake and vent pipes, to create 64 ft.ยฒ of storage in the ceiling crawlspace. Also duplicated skylight windows to the front office wall for our VP of operations, Mike!

Week 6 - Trenching, Sidewalk & Driveway Wiring. Rented commercial auger to trench 400 feet of dirt/roots to lay PVC conduit underground, for perimeter lighting and power. We had to run electrical conduit underneath the driveway (through 16ft of limestone rock) in order to complete the front corner run! Lucked into the City of Clearwater replacing front linear sidewalk, complementing our new asphalt.
