Service Overview:

Is your laptop or device running out of battery too quickly? Batteries “wear out” due to extensive use, repeated recharges, long-term charging or non-use, and even power surges. Rechargeable batteries can only be recharged so many times, before the capacity and runtime start to deplete. At some point your battery will need to be replaced, in order to maintain more than ~ 1 hour on sustained battery power.

Part # Identification:

Unless your laptop uses a basic removable/external battery, we won’t be able to quickly infer a which specific model/revision of internal battery unit to replace. In most cases, it’s logical to start with a Diagnosis Evaluation. This service covers the investigative step for a replacement battery, as well as any other hardware, software, or performance advisories found by IT Experts.

Alternatively, you can opt for a less-complete Evaluation with our Basic Inspection. This service affords time to focus review on aspects of the battery unit’s health, and sometimes is enough insight to properly identify and source a replacement part. If more complicated disassembly is required, Advanced Troubleshooting may be required.

Scopes of Work:

• [Laptop PCs] - Some laptops use a basic snap-on / clip-in style battery. This generally requires only 1 panel or few screws to be removed.

• [Macbook - Screwed ] - Some Apple laptops only require the bottom panel removed. This generally requires 4-10 screws removed, with precision tooling.

• [Macbook - Glued] - Newer Apple laptops have battery units fused with adhesive to the chassis. This requires removal of 8+ screws and glue, precision tooling, and experience handling.

Special Order Parts:

Nearly every make & model of laptop computer uses a different / proprietary battery unit. Different computers use different size, style, and capacity batteries - almost NONE are interchangeable, even in the same brand! With this stated, nearly ALL laptop batteries are special-ordered. Our preferred Vendor shipping is usually just 2-3 days.
